Need some helt with a JLC memovox im interested in with Lapis Lazuli dial. Not sure if everything is original, dial looks fine, but not sure about case. Does anything stand out to you guys?
Thanks,
Oscar
Haven't either but since it is very rare with lapis I dont have too many pictures to check with. Seller is reputable but is not sure themselves. Have seen several other jlc with this type of two tone and on vintage pieces it is fairly regular on plaque pieces. Really not sure what to do... It's a very good price so thinking wors case scenario I can buy another memovox and add the lapis dial?
I think it depends on whats important to you personally:
1) If the validity of the entire watch is important to you (and you have no way to verify validity after the purchase), then probably pass?
2) If validity of the dial is important to you, but not the case/strap, but you have no way to verify validity of dial before/after purchase I'd also seriously consider passing... The hands make me a little nervous as all the examples I've seen did not have dauphine hands (although again by no means am I professing expertise in this). *edit* just did more google searching and saw some examples of dauphine hands -- although they did look very new...
3) If neither the validity of the dial or case is important to you, and you just want a really cool/funky looking take on the classical memovox and as you said can switch case out to a fully gold or SS one, and the price is right, then go for it!
Agree with the poster above. Why would the alarm indicator be with the triangle-side, and not the point? Seems fishy to me.
