贺深X乔韶
Qiao Shao, who worked hard to stay up all night and study, was first in class — if you count from the bottom.
He Shen, who was able to get a perfect score even when he slept all day, in a rare display of kindness, bought a bottle of drink to comfort his stupid seatmate.
Then he saw the messages popping up on Qiao Shao’s phone—
Dad: Don’t panic, it’s okay if you didn’t do well in the exam. Dad just ordered a new sports car for you.
Granddad: Grandson, there’s no need to hurry. It’s alright even if you didn’t do well in your exam. Granddad bought a new yacht for you, come and take a break.
Grandpa: Grandson, don’t cry, it’s okay if you didn’t do well in the exam. Grandpa’s billions-worth of properties are all yours.
With a blank expression, He Shen threw his 2.5 Yuan worth bottle of drink into the trash.
Hold your horses! Comfort?

This was way better than I expected!!
I thought it would be a fun and light read. It was fun, but the story was actually quite interesting and intense. I even cried a little when they found out the truth about their past 😭. Although that part was sad and made me feel a little apprehensive, the rest of the novel was angst-free. A really sweet hurt-comfort love story. Totally recommend this one 💗
It's mostly fluff but both characters were hiding their dark past.
My fave character is Wei Jiayi, his train of thoughts were amusing and I like how he become ^..^
They truly respected and trusted each other, and this actually rivalled some of the relationships between older characters that I've read. Despite their young age, because of the things they went through before, they were more mature than their peers. They took care of each other and were considerate of each other. Their relationship made my heart light up, honestly. And the progress each of them was so heartwarming. I was rooting so hard for them and the author did not disappoint.
I also really liked the side characters in this one. Their friends were a great source of humour and QS's father and both grandfathers were also a great source of support for QS and eventually, HS. I'm so happy with the ending and the author even included a few extra chapters that showed us where all of them ended up in the future 10 years later.
It's a really good read, it started out light hearted, funny, fluffy, and really cute.
Towards the end, when some revelations were revealed, were quite tear jerking, I shed a few tears, but it was resolved quite quickly and went back to its lighter tone.
Saw some people complaining about how these high school students acted like kids still, but I didn't felt so. It could also be because I grew up in a school were people acted similar like this.
short and sweet, the convoluted misunderstandings were extremely entertaining
Muy lindooooooooo
Es super mengggggggg xD
Eso sí, le hubiera cortado unos buenos 50 caps o hubiera adelantado la verdad unos 50 caps 🤡🤡.
This was so cute and epic😔
However, I think the ending was disappointing. I love a nice face slapping, but mean, overzealous revenge against someone who already had dementia and is nearing the end of their life is just cruel. I think it's worse because we don't personally witness the injustice the revenge is for, but are instead just told about it. This made me skim the ending with one eye closed.
Also, I thought the use of wealth in the beginning of the story was funny and added to the story, but by the end, it was just a bit overblown, overemphasized, and embarrassing. I loved how the author showed wealth isn't a reason to discriminate in the beginning, but that moral felt lost by the end.
Similarly, I loved the focus on family, but the magical pathway for curing trauma felt... Well... A bit too magical. Therapists don't always have a cure, because some things don't really have cures. Many times, people just learn ways of managing and living with their issues. But if someone was to get cured, I guess it would be a child, with dedicated help from his family and professionals, over long period of time.
some notes:
-cuuteeee....
-very soft, with just the right amount of angst
-conflict wasn't like, overly drawn out or anything
-good side characters, good character development
-reasonably interesting plot; but mostly it was just rlly cute fluff.
-like, it's exactly what it says on the tin: a cute story about classmates falling in love + a whole lot of identity porn. it gave me exactly what i asked for
-good chill novel, re-readable, 8/10.
If you only read the synopsis, the novel originally comes across as a cute slice of life, with a lot of comedy and a school romance. What the synopsis doesn't tell you is how this book portrays trauma.
(SPOILERS for most if not all of the novel, read at your own risk)
Even from the first chapter, you start seeing the hints of something serious behind the comedic dialogue. The MC's father is paranoid about him going to school alone, but it's easy to mistake that for regular overprotective parent behaviour. Then, as the chapters go on we see more and more obvious signs of it. The MC's reaction to the word Mom, his panic attacks when he has to deal with silence, his constant wearing of earphones, his inability to go up to his parents bedroom in his own house.
Then it slowly gets revealed.
How he got kidnapped. His mother's death. His amnesia. Definitely severe PTSD.
My favourite part of this book is how it shows trauma. The way he shuts down whenever anything related to his trauma is mentioned. He's not a bad student, and he is an extremely hard worker, but his grades are terrible, because he has panic attacks in the silent classroom. And furthermore, that guilt. That he forgot his mother. That he is too afraid to even try to remember her. Trauma doesn't just go away with time.
Also the fact that the first step for him to actually get better was to consciously decide to overcome it. It's a hard road. It takes a long long time and so much effort .
NOW, onto the romance. I love the love interest. I love their relationship. It's hilarious how they're both trying to hide the fact that they're from rich prestigious families. The ML himself has his own trauma, although I won't discuss that. They are very mutually supportive of each other. It's not a "love is the magic solution to both our problems", rather the idea that love can help you get the courage to believe you can do something that you were previously too afraid to do.
TLDR: Amazing novel, lot of representation on mental illnesses such as PTSD and life as you try to overcome them, due amount of comedy among the serious discourse, cute couple. Definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed this story. At first I was concerned I would drop it because it had a lot of misunderstandings between the leads and I usually get annoyed when misunderstandings take precedence. However after a few chapters in the more annoying misunderstandings were cleared up and the more major, understandable misunderstandings were left to form a relatively solid plot.
What was novel about this story was the trauma backstory. I won’t say it was incredibly realistic because I felt there were a few unrealistic reasonings in the recovery and behaviour of said PTSD sufferer, but it’s a web novel and in the context of that I think it was well portrayed.
The relationship is cute and I love the romanticism of how healing it was for both leads (but my honest opinion is that this would be a bit different in reality and not so easy. But again, this is a work of fiction so I’m not complaining)
I think for the length the author got her message across quite nicely even if there were a few plot holes and such. I think it was a wonderful read overall and I’d recommend it. It’s one of the better highschool romances out there.
But from the very start, the book started foreshadowing the much deeper emotional traumas that the two main characters had suffered through, and man, when it finally came time for the big revelation of the main character's backstory, I was *not* prepared for how hard it hit emotionally. It was intense and cathartic and awful. Thankfully, the book returns to its fluffy roots and gives the characters and readers the chance to heal for a happy ending.
As long as you are ready for a pretty dark backstory for the main characters, this is a pretty great and well-rounded romance. There's humor, fluff, great supporting characters, and a pretty nuanced portrayal of familiar relationships.
And I'm glad he and He Shen are gradually recovering from their past traumas and healing one other's wounds. I started reading this thinking it was all light and fluffy (I needed a cute and fluffy novel to help me heal from 2ha), but... Well, I teared up reading about Qiao Shao's terrifying past experiences when he was young (that kidnapped things) and how he got PTSD and was so afraid of silence and the word 'Mother.' Like he was locked up by that crazy woman because she thinks he is her dead son and locked up our QS in isolation in the underground rooms for a year and our baby QS (he was only 10 or 11 at the time TT) had to see that crazy lady slowly died in front of him from starvation.
i read all kind of danmei last year and never quite managed to rate them all here, yes it's pretty late to even say anything about this but better late than never i guess. in short this was a typical fluffy school-setting story that revolved mostly on MC & ML, and watching them evolving and growing was pretty delightful to say the least. i also love how MC's family was so protective of their baby but still allowed ML a chance to get together with him, despite ML's complicated family history. i don't think i'll reread this any sooner, it's just way too long despite being simplistic at best, but i enjoyed the relationship dynamic between both MC & ML, and how they tackled MC's mental health problem slowly yet surely. would definitely recommend this if you seek danmei that barely has any complex plot or in the mood for something lightheartedly sweet & wholesome to read.
Is really common to main leads in fiction to be these amazing reliable 17 yo with the capabilities of 45 yo, able to swept through famines and hardships, and sometimes these dynamics tend to be not-so-good, but this time the main characters go thought so many hardships and at the end the adults assume their responsibility, the way they saw them as children and just children made my hearth so soft, because in fact they are just 17 yo, their lives are just starting, for me seeing capable adults at the end trying to help them and looking for them to be young and just simply happy, wow, it was so beautiful .
this book is beautifully written, there´s a lot of comedy, it's pure fluff, we follow the main character going thought an amazing self development, it catches so well the way 17 yo thing about life and the world, I highly recommend this read.
Qiao Shao went to a normal high school to start a new life. He experienced some traumatic things when he was young and hoping that a new environment can help him overcome it.
We will see how Qiao Shao will overcome his trauma with the help of He Shen and his new found friends.
There are some funny and cry worthy scenes on the book but majority of the time it felt bland for me. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad. Just ok. 👌
Lo he leído a gusto.
No le doy las cinco estrellas por qué los extras se me hicieron algo innecesarios (los de los sueños)
Mn. Everything I like.
Broken characters ✅✅✅
Characters on equal standing - Qiao Shao is weaker and is described as a child in comparison to He Shen, but there is an explanation behind it, so I am not so worried about this. One thing is that they are basically equal in financial standing through.
Good looking characters ✅
Angst - no angst, but a break is needed anyways
Fluff ✅✅✅✅
Healing ✅✅✅✅
I like how this one goes about mental health - it has the best approach out of all the ones I have read so far!
i really like the story and the characters. qiao shao and he shen love story is so cute and fluff and i love it, i love their dinamic and their comunication, if they're happy i'm happy. their classmate were okay, funny, blue hair have my hair i love him sm and the school tyrant. qiao shao family was so cute uwu i love his dad. i love this book sm i'll reread some day
cons: the 10 years later extra wasn’t my cup of tea with the sci-fi elements and all of them being incredible famous bc it just felt really out of place but otherwise nothing really
