This book was amazing! I don鈥檛 read books only medical books but was told it was good so I read it. It鈥檚 a true story of of a man who just keeps going and fighting to survive.
So much grit! With every emotion in this book. When I read the book it felt like a 3 D movie. I was right along there with the author going through it with him. This book will no doubt be a movie some day. You got to read this book it will change
The way you see life.
When the book was over I wanted more.
Hopefully this author will right again! Holly it was an amazing book! Loved the way it was told.

All of Dahl's stories are, of course, absorbing, funny, shocking and brilliant reflections on human life. But one story shines from this collection. It is the about a small girl caught up in the Nazi invasion of Greece, befriended by an RAF squadron in retreat. This is probably the best short story I have ever read. Emotive, lyrical, tragic, symbolic, and moving. Buy the book for this story alone.
