Well, this guy showed up today.
Right before I left for work.
I’m extremely excited to shoot this guy.
Unfortunately it is missing the bipod on the front, and the elevator foot on the back.
The Brit tripod will have to do for now.
If anybody has any available parts for the 7mm guns please let me know.

Mike already bought a 50 after I told him I was buying one. And we’ve been going back and forth over the hotchkiss info for like 9 months
Did not see any identifiable markings...? Would this be from Chile or a South American country...?
If I recall correctly, there were about eight or so of these Brazilian 7mm guns at a Poulins auction several years ago. There were only two just about complete examples, and the rest were missing a few or more parts and were only in fair shape. No bipods that I recall, which are specific to those guns although the M 26 type Hotch LMG bipods are similar and can be fitted with some effort. I bought the best one of the lot for $1700 or thereabouts. There are two types of feed cover designs. The .303 internal parts will fit, but somewhat reluctantly and I recall that a .303 barrel won't. I didn't get far enough with parts exchange to see if the .303 would feed but I suspect it woukd require some alteration. The gun runs well in 7mm. I found one of the other style Hotch bipods and worked it onto the gun. Got two .30-06. US guns, one 7mm Brazilian, one .303 converted to 54r, and two .303s. Probably enough....
Well....another Hotchkiss fan....!! There are a few 1914 Hotchkiss owners around...but you'se guy's with the .303,7MM and 8MM Mauser are a bit better equipped to do more modern rounds than the 8MM Lebel folks.
Did the Bene-Mercier in 30/06 take the 30-rd brass strips...? Believe the 7.62R,.303 and 8MM Lebel used the 24-rd steel strips. Which strips are used with the 7MM and 8MM Mauser rds...?

It seems to me there are 2 types of strips:
1. 8mm Lebel
2. Everything else seems to be the same.
Steel 24rnd is 8mm
Brass 30rnd is Jap 7.7
Steel 30rnd is .303, 7mm, and 30-06
Steel 15rnd is 8mm Mauser
Steel Galvanized 30rnd is a mystery
Besides the 8mm Lebel all the others are dimensionally the same.
I have no experience with 7.62x54R
Or a British gun so I may be wrong here.

There are several types of bipods from other LMGs that can be made too fit the Brazilian 1910 LMGs
The original design of the Brazilian bipod with the spring loaded caps that close over the bipod trunnions was also used on the later Hotch type 1922 LMGs which is why it is a good adaptation to the 1910s. It looks correct is is very close, but, as usual, it takes some fitting, since the 1922 caps are slightly different. FWIW

...good info and very informative. Been accumulating the 24-rd steel strips for the 1914 and a couple dozen of the brass 30-rd strips. During testing,found the brass 30-rd strips will acomodate the 7MM and 8MM Mauser,the 30/06 and the 7.7 Jap rds. The 24-rd strips will hold the .303,7.62R and the 8MM Lebel. Believe that the early...pre 1919...blued 24-rd strips were the original Lebel type... later ones were parked,apparently. Please advise if my assumptions are not correct.

Excellent info, I didn’t realize the feed mechanisms were that forgiving. I never tried a Lebel strip in a Portative. I just assumed the different spacing would throw off the feed lever. I will write this down.
