The 2020/21 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season is fast approaching and it is shaping as one of the most exciting and closest seasons yet, with so much at stake for the 9 teams vying for the Championship.

The NBL has enjoyed huge popularity in recent years and is now recognised as one of the best leagues in the world outside of the NBA. And there’s plenty for fans of all teams to look forward to.

The Perth Wildcats’ reign of dominance continued last season, as they won their fourth championship in five years. With MVP Bryce Cotton returning to the club, Perth will once again be incredibly hard to beat this season.

Last season’s runners-up the Sydney Kings will be hoping to go one step further this season. The club has received an injection of youth with the additions of Angus Glover and Dejan Vasiljevic, while rising Australian star Xavier Cooks is also returning.

With captain Chris Goulding re-signed for a further three years, expect Melbourne United to be contending for the championship once again. Former Duke captain Jack White will be a player to watch in United colours this season.

The Cairns Taipans were last season’s surprise packet and will be out to prove they weren’t a one hit wonder. The likes of Majok Deng, Kouat Noi and Nate Jawai are all returning, and they’ve also signed exciting NBL Next Star Mojave King.

Andrej Lemanis’ Brisbane Bullets have reloaded, bolstering their roster with the signings of Anthony Drmic, Harry Froling, Tamuri Wigness and Tanner Krebs. Expect them to be contending for a finals spot.

There’s plenty of hype coming from New Zealand and rightfully so. The Breakers arguably have the best roster on paper entering the season, headed by the signings of two-time All-NBL First Team member Lamar Patterson and Kiwi star Tai Webster.

NBL Next Star and precocious Aussie youngster Josh Giddey will bring plenty of excitement to a new look Adelaide 36ers squad. They will be led by new head coach Conner Henry and fans can expect big things from the team bolstered by former NBA player Isaac Humphries.

South East Melbourne Phoenix enters their second season full of hope with superstar Mitch Creek returning, while the signing of Australian Boomer Cam Gliddon could elevate the Phoenix to the next level.

And it’s the start of an exciting new era for The Hawks led by the most successful coach in NBL history Brian Goorjian. His new look squad will feature former NBA players Cam Bairstow and Deng Adel and could be the giant killers of NBL21.

The Hungry Jack’s NBL is Your Game, so get ready for a Season Like no Other in 2020/21!
