The story of the uber rare "Muffler Bike":
I spoke with Jeff Utterback last year about the Bigtube. He told me that the Bigtube f/f concept was the brainchild of his father Mr. George Utterback, of "G"JS. It was 1983 and the f/f was built primarily for pro-class racing ex. 1983 ESPN event where Jeff had test piloted one. It was dubbed the "Muffler Bike" by dealers at the Interbike event in Las Vegas in 1983 because of the muffler-sized tubing used on the forks. Some people believed it was perfect for ramp because of the sturdy construction so it was used as a freestyler aswell.
I bought the f/f in flat black primer from Europe. I finished it in high gloss black and made custom hand-cut decals, keeping faithful to the original Bigtube advertisement
